Remember My Name

Does time remember my name?

As I switch bodies & extinguish my flame.

Only to light another.

Does the rain remember my skin?

Does it remember all the moments we have been?

Does the mirror hold my image in its glass?

From start to finish as time has past.

Does a pond hold every glimmer of sky?

Reshaping reforming as clouds float by.

Does the grass remember every dew drop?

Like crystal balls? Or tears falling before the crop?

Does the fire remember every sound that was made?

All through the camp on that special day?

Do the trees remember every leaf that has dropped?

Do the leaves recall from where they took off?

Does the wind remember every whisper made?

Through our hair in the storm at play?

Does the Earth remember how it was born?

Does she remember the elements formed?

Does the Earth remember her true name?

Recalling the light from that one fierce Flame.
